DayZ admin commands (BattlEye RCon)

You already set passwordAdmin and RConPassword and want the list of what to type in the RCon client. Many pages list #login, #kick and #shutdown for DayZ: that is Arma. Here are the BattlEye commands on Standalone.

If RCon still does not connect, stop and do the How to become admin guide first. This article assumes the connection is open.

In the RCon client

CommandWhat it does
playersLists who is online and the session number
kick NRemoves player N from the list
ban NBans player N (goes to bans.txt)
say -1 textMessage to everyone, when the client accepts it
bansShows the ban list

Run players before kick. The number N changes every session. Permanent ban lives in profiles\BattlEye\bans.txt.

Mod commands

Community Online Tools and VPP have their own key and menu. Each one documents the shortcut. Install via the Workshop guide. The client needs the same mod.

How to verify

  1. players shows your session when you are on the server.
  2. kick on the right number: the player drops and disappears from the list.
  3. ban: the line appears in bans.txt; joining again fails.

If it failed

  • kick on the wrong number → run players again; the session changes.
  • #login command → you are on an Arma list; use the RCon client.
  • ban disappears after restart → bans.txt in another profiles folder; check -profiles=.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you order

Standalone does not ship the Arma # console. Use a BattlEye RCon client or an admin mod.

In profiles\BattlEye\bans.txt. To lift a ban, delete the line, save and (if needed) restart.
