How to create a Java Minecraft server on RoxyCloud

A Java server on RoxyCloud starts in the panel. You do not install Linux. You do not open SSH. The path is: pay, install Paper, accept the EULA, start, send the IP.

This guide prepares a Java server. If everyone plays Bedrock, use the Bedrock guide. To bring both editions together, configure Geyser crossplay on compatible software and check versions and authentication.

1. Hire and open the email

  1. Open the Minecraft page and pick a plan in Brazil.
  2. Pay with Pix or a card.
  3. Open the email. The panel, IP and port are there.

2. Install Paper

  1. Open the panel and the Java Minecraft installer.
  2. Pick the game version (the same one your friends have).
  3. Select Paper. If it is a pack, pick the pack in the list. Do not mix the two.
  4. Wait for the download to finish.

3. Accept the EULA

Read the Minecraft EULA before accepting it. If you agree, use the panel option or edit eula.txt under Files and save:

eula.txt
eula=true

4. Start and join

  1. Hit start in Power.
  2. Watch Console. When it says it finished, the world exists.
  3. In Minecraft Java: Multiplayer, Add server. Copy the address and port shown in the panel; do not use a port assigned to another service.

5. Protect your world before changing versions

Before installing plugins, importing a world or switching versions, create a manual backup in the panel and keep an external copy. At RoxyCloud, customers are responsible for creating Minecraft backups within the available quota. Test restoration on a copy.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you order

Treat RAM as a starting point: compare 4 GB for a simple setup and 8 or 12 GB for larger workloads. Usage depends on the world, version, plugins, mods and concurrent players. Check pack requirements and measure actual usage; GB alone does not guarantee player capacity.

For plugins, choose Paper compatible with the game version. For original game behavior, consider Vanilla. Modpacks need the loader and release specified by the pack.

Java and Bedrock do not connect directly. A compatible Java server can accept Bedrock clients with Geyser configured. This does not automatically convert Java mods; consoles also restrict adding servers.

No. Everything is in the panel: Power, Files, Console, installer.
