Palworld save tools (migrate and repair)

Sometimes you need to fix a bugged base, migrate a world from another host or recover lost pals. The safe flow on RoxyCloud is: backup through the panel, edit offline on your PC, validate and re-upload. Third-party tools touch Level.sav. Take it slow.

When it makes sense

  • Bring a save from single player or another server to the host.
  • Fix a character or base after a crash, if the tool supports your version.
  • Clone a test world before opening a public server.
  • Recover an old backup after an update broke compatibility.

Download the save through the panel

  1. Open the server in the RoxyCloud panel.
  2. In the Console, run Save with the world running.
  3. Stop the server in Power.
  4. Open Files and locate the save folder (vale-cattiva world or equivalent GUID).
  5. Download the whole folder to your PC. The main file is usually Level.sav inside the SaveGames structure.

Edit offline on your PC

Use community tools built to edit Level.sav. Projects like Palworld Save Tools show up on forums and public repos. Download only from a source you trust and confirm the editor version matches your Palworld build.

  1. Work on a copy, never on the only backup.
  2. Open Level.sav in the tool you picked.
  3. Make the smallest change (character, item, pals, whatever the editor allows).
  4. Save to a new file and test locally if the tool offers a preview.

There is no requirement to use a specific brand. What matters is version compatibility and backup before every save click.

Upload back to the host

  1. With Power still off, open Files.
  2. Rename the current save folder in the panel (example: vale-cattiva-backup-old).
  3. Upload the edited folder or replace only Level.sav, depending on what you changed.
  4. Check file size and date.
  5. Start in Power and watch the Console on boot.

If the server crash loops, stop again, restore the renamed backup and check version or a corrupted file.

Game version and updates

A save from an old patch does not always open on an updated host. After an update, read the update guide, align client and server with Info in the Console and only then try to migrate the save with a community tool.

In-game admin after restore

With the world up, nina.pal and the rest join through the usual IP. Admins use /AdminPassword orvalho-2026 in chat or Save in the Console before the next maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you order

No. Stop in Power, download or replace files, save and only then start. Editing a save while the process runs corrupts the world.

Community editors exist for Level.sav. A common name is Palworld Save Tools. Use whatever is updated for your game version.

Restore the backup, confirm client and host are on the same version and only then try to migrate with a community tool or a new world.
