How to add tModLoader mods to the server

On a RoxyCloud Terraria host the stable path is: build the pack on your PC with tModLoader, export the instance and upload the files through the file manager. The server must run on the TModLoader engine.

Build the pack on your PC

  1. Open tModLoader through Steam.
  2. Go to Workshop and Manage Mods.
  3. Enable only the mods the server will use.
  4. If a mod has a config gear, adjust it and save.
  5. Go back and open Mod Packs.
  6. Save as a new pack, for example caverna-azul-mods.
  7. In the pack, export the pack instance.
  8. In the window that opens, find the SaveData folder (or the folder the export shows) and leave it open.

Upload to the panel

  1. Open the RoxyCloud panel and your TModLoader server.
  2. Stop it with Power.
  3. Open Files.
  4. Go into the Mods folder.
  5. Upload the mod files from the export (drag and drop or upload).
  6. If you saved configs, create the ModConfigs folder at the server root if it does not exist yet.
  7. Open ModConfigs and upload the config files from the export.
  8. Start the server with Power and watch the Console until the mods finish loading.

After you start

  • Check the Console for any mod that failed to load.
  • Ask the group to use the same pack on the client.
  • If the room is private, agree on a password in config.txt, for example orvalho-2026.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you order

Explorer (15 GB) or Adventurer (25 GB). The Novice plan focuses on vanilla and light TShock and gets tight for big packs.

Yes. Everyone who joins needs the same set in tModLoader. The server alone does not inject the pack into your friend's PC.

Pack config files go in the ModConfigs folder. The .tmod files (or the exported folder) go in Mods.
