How to add mods and .PAK files to Palworld
Stop in Power, upload .pak files to Mods or Paks through Files, restart, and ask everyone to install the same pack. Back up the save first. UseUObjectArrayCache helps FPS in some cases.

Palworld mods on a dedicated server are .pak files in the right folder, not a magic button in the panel. On RoxyCloud you stop the world, upload through Files, restart in Power, and tell your group to copy the same pack. This guide follows that flow and includes backup before you touch anything.
Backup before any mod
- Stop the server in Power.
- Open Files and go to Pal/Saved/SaveGames (or the full Saved folder).
- Download a .zip of the current save.
- Keep it on PC or cloud with a date in the name, for example vale-cattiva-backup-2026.
If something breaks after installing a mod, you restore using the backup guide instead of losing hours of progress.
Upload .pak through Files
- With the server stopped, open Files in the panel.
- Browse to the Palworld install on the host.
- Enter the Mods or Paks folder (hosts usually use one of those names).
- If the folder does not exist, create Mods and put the .pak files there.
- Upload each .pak the mod requires. Keep the original file name.
- Do not mix different versions of the same mod.
- Save and confirm the upload finished (size matches your PC).
Restart and test
- Start the server in Power.
- Open Console and check for corrupt pak or version errors.
- Join yourself first with the same mods on PC.
- Only then call the group.
What each player does on PC
- Download the .pak from the same link or workshop the server uses.
- Put them in the local Palworld Mods or Paks folder (path varies by Steam install).
- Enable or let the game load as the mod asks.
- Join IP:port from the panel.
Quick tip: UseUObjectArrayCache
Some performance packs ask for UseUObjectArrayCache=False in the client Engine.ini (and sometimes server tweaks). That cuts stutter on certain builds, but depends on mod and version. Details and steps live in the fps-mods-servidor-palworld guide. Do not apply blindly: read the description of the mod you use.
Remove or swap a mod
- Tell the players.
- Stop in Power.
- Back up SaveGames again.
- Delete the .pak in Mods or Paks through Files.
- Start the server.
- Everyone removes the mod locally too.
Swapping mods mid-save can corrupt items or bases. A new world or a wipe agreed with the group is safer.
